Longtime residents of Greater Nashville, TN, Cecil and Patty Kemp are respected life, leadership, spiritual, business and financial coaches and mentors known for their imaginative and entertaining storytelling and their instructive, challenging and unique approach to speaking and teaching. Married since 1970, they are parents twice over and have seven grandchildren.
Patty's career began with a large financial services company, while Cecil started as a CPA at Touche Ross, now Deloitte Touche. At 23, he became chief financial officer of a publicly held healthcare company and, before 30, its chief operating officer.
From 1982 to 1998, the Kemps owned and operated many successful businesses, including a financial investment services group of companies that managed over $100 million for a nationwide client base that included several thousand individuals and businesses.
In June of 1998, Patty and Cecil answered God’s call into full-time marketplace ministry. They sold all of their for-profit businesses and have since focused their energy full-time on The Wisdom Company, a not-for-profit umbrella Christian organization that includes a flourishing life and financial coaching business consulting practice, publishing company, internet retailer, retreat ministry outreach, and the Difference Maker Foundation.
Together, they work to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to live a Spirit-filled life, leaving a positive imprint on every person they touch, by equipping them with the tools necessary to embody and share the principles of true Servant Leadership as demonstrated by the first Difference Maker, Jesus Christ.
